Roma the Protector

Roma's Backstory
In a grim city, drowning in waste and smog polluted skies, evil outdated robots run the city and break down all that remains of it. Their persistent abuse and harvesting of the land's resources brings devastation amongst all living things. The robots plan to develop a new generation of advanced machines that will accelerate their destruction and misuse of the land's natural resources, which in turn, results in the environment's deterioration.
Roma is set to be the first robot made with this new technology, but once created, it appears that an error had occurred in his programming. Instead of emerging as a weapon of destruction, Roma awakens with a pure conscience, one that cares for nature and all living things. The moment his makers discover his "defect,"
they immediately set out to eliminate him. Once Roma escapes the factory, for the first time, he sees just how broken-down and degraded the world around him was. It broke him to think that he was made to be a part of this damage, this destruction, this... sin city.
Since then, Roma had sworn an oath to restore his city to what it once was before the destruction; and to reprogram the evil outmodes that created him.

Initially I created Roma for a mascot competition however, I had so much fun creating the character and the world he belongs to, that I decided to flesh him out some more.
